| Compare the Features, Compare the Technology... The decision was never easier. Sandia's commitment to airflow efficiency has culminated in the Raven Avenger 10 Series. All vacuums test to their optimum performance when new. The true test of performance comes as debris fills the vacuum bag. In older tubular backpack designs, the bag bulges and stretches when it fills, contacting the side wall and top of the motor, severely reducing airflow (see comparison below). The new Raven Avenger 10's 3/4" per side increase in diameter and new bag support increased airflow and reduced motor heat, allowing and increase in motor warranty to 5 years! #1 As debris settles to the bottom of the vacuum bag, the cloth bag sags and contacts the motor-filter, reducing airflow (compare #1 on each photo). The Improvement... The Raven Avenger's new deflector plate holds the heavy debris away from the motor filter during use. #2 As the bag continues to fill, it bulges to the sides, contacting the cylindrical body. Airflow is severely reduced (compare #2 on each photo). The Improvement... The Raven abandoned the cylindrical body and tapered the vacuum-body 3/4" per side to allow airflow around the bulging bag. #3 Excessive motor noise. Carbon brushes on the motor create the majority of motor noise. (compare #3 on each photo). The Improvement... The Raven Avenger added 70 inches of sound deadening waffle materials to make the Raven Avenger Series the quietest vacuum in its category. |
